Accolades for a Swasey Student

One of our very own Swasey fourth graders, Alexis, just received news that her poem, A Dog at your Door, is going to be published!  The book of poetry is called Accolades, and will be coming out in the fall. We'll have to wait until then to read her poem, and check out this awesome book.  In the meantime, check out this series that Alexis has been reading:

This is a great book for good readers. I would recommend it to most fourth-graders. In this book, Tanya can see fairies. But not the fairies you and I imagine. Evil fairies. Her mother sends her to live with her grandmother at Elvesden (elves meaning fairies!) Manor. While trying to solve a mystery about a missing girl, Tanya finds herself dangerously close to disappearing herself. This book is by Michelle Harrison. I am now reading book 2 13 Curses. ~Alexis, Grade 4
