Its about Mitsi Kashino and her family when they get taken to a interment camp around the time when the attack on Pearl Harbor took place. She is separated from her friends and her beloved dog Dash. She has one connection to the out side world in which she sends and receives letters with the kind neighbor who is taking care of her dog Dash.
